Past Chapters
...the lonely past masks of Akatsuki Designs
Here, you can find various layouts that had been previously used as AD's main layout.
› Features: Death Note
› Applied on: March 11th, 2007
› Comments: This layout features Light Yagami and L from the animanga series Death Note. It's very similar in terms of the style with version 12: Fields of Hope. I thought this layout should be dark and gloomy since the previous one was bright and happy. This layout consist of two elements from the previous two layouts incorporated into one. Hopefully this layout will stay for a long time.

› Features: Ouran High School Host Club
› Applied on: December 24th, 2007
› Comments: After a long break from web-designing, I took another shot at creating a new layout. This one is more or less a subcreation of the previous layout on with different color schemes, and images. This layout features the Ouran Host Club from the animanga series Ouran Host High School Club. It's titled Music Room #3, which is the location of the club. Originally this layout was to be titled Lineage + Money, which is pretty much what the school was about. However, it sounded a little shallow, and in the end Music Room #3 becomes the new title.

› Features: Athrun, Shinn, Kira
› Applied on: July 6th, 2007
› Comments: Yet another layout from the animanga Gundam SEED Destiny. This layout was a new experiment where I decided to implement two different elements together. The background comes from my "Fields of Hope" wallpaper, and a new style of layout I was inspired by. Since I had a bright layout the previous time, I decided this layout should be dark. As it turns out, this layout is mostly a combination of dark-blue/purple, and black. I've never actually worked with a dark layout before, and since this layout stayed for nearly 6 months, I think it was a success (On average, the longest time any Akatsuki Designs' layout stayed is ~3 months). This layout is titled "Fields of Hope" by Rie Tanaka, which was also used as the insert song in episode seven of Gundam SEED Destiny.

› Features: Dark Moussy
› Applied on: April 23, 2007
› Comments: This layout features Dark Moussy designed after a very long break from web designing. This layout is very similar with a couple first ones I've made in the past, but I didn't want to make the entire layout just blue. I used a couple of gradients to give the purple/pink effect with the blue. Overall, it's a very bright, and happy layout, and it turns out pretty well, especially after a long lasting previous brown layout.

› Features: Athrun Zala, Kira Yamato, Shinn Asuka
› Applied on: January 31st, 2007
› Comments: This layout features Kira, Athrun, and Shinn from the anime series Gundam SEED Destiny. In the making of this layout, I decided to try a new style with the "swirls" at the top, and before the content. This layout was eye-pleasing for the first couple of weeks, however, a while after, it became an eyesore. This layout during its "reign" underwent many CSS and design modification, and it has been constantly updated. Coding was a little problem, but otherwise, everything went well.

› Features: Cloud Strife
› Applied on: November 19th, 2006
› Comments: This isn't a personal favourite, but I didn't want to create a new complicated layout for Christmas, then take it off again. I decided this layout would stay for at least a month until my exams are over. This layout features Cloud Strife, and proved to be somewhat more popular than the other layouts I've made. The main colour are shades of grey, and I added my personal favourite colours: blue and pink to add life to it. This is one of the best images I could find of Cloud Strife and there aren't a lot of scans worth using.

› Features: Athrun Zala
› Applied on: October 4th, 2007
› Comments: I had a hard time deciding who will be featured on this layout. Originally, I wanted it to be Sesshomaru, but I can't find a decent enough scan that for this layout for my birthday, and I really think everything works out really clean match the awesome-ness of my Athrun scans XD I spent three hours extracting these scans, and the layout making process didn't take as long as I imagined. I ran into some coding problems along the way, but that didn't prevent me from finishing the layout. This is almost like the seventh theme I had; this one is blue whereas the other one was purple and blue. Resources can be found on the resources page; this layout used some of my own brushes which can be downloaded on the PS brushes section. This is a fully table-coded layout and I'm very proud of the finished product.

› Features: Edward & Alphonse Elric
› Applied on: June 23rd, 2006
› Comments: This layout is one of the best layouts I've ever made in my entire web designing experience. It's a nice blend of ethereal clouds, and images, a truly new style for AD and new experience for me! I fell in love with this layout almost immediately mainly because of the ethereal look, and the coding. It's a table layout -crickets- ermm... -screams- Rei actually made a table layout that is compatible with both IE and Mozilla!! I'm in the tabling mood recently, and have been making more table layouts than ever! Technically this is the seventh layout of the site, but since I took down the other three, this layout becomes the fourth. As you may have noticed, this layout features Ed and Al Elric. I've been on a long break from web designing as I was studying for finals, and I must say my web designing skills level has dropped immensely. This the third try of making a decent looking layout, with one going to the recycling bin, and the other one waiting to be. I found an amazing scan of them looking out towards the mountain, and the scenery was so beautiful that I've decided to use that scan. It took a while to clean it, and extract it, a painful three hours of cleaning and extracting.
This layout is titled Towards the Future because I wanted it to represent the coming of summer, and the new come back of EDR after a two-weeks break. I must say, the title fits the images and layout so very well, that if I had come up with another one later on, I would still stick with this title.
